Right out of Juneau in 1977, I started a band with Bobby Tews called "The Wigs". We released one record that hit #2 on local radio and sales charts and we broke attendance records at Summerfest. Our last show was to over 5,000 people at the Rock Stage. After relocating to Los Angeles in 1982, we appeared and sang in a fairly successful film called "My Chauffeur" (1986). We were signed ever so briefly to CBS Records, though ultimately we were dropped before we could even finish a record as a result of an attempted hostile takeover. Since that band dissolved, my career has been spread across music, television and film. I record and tour with a band called, "Fisher the Band".
I sang on Ringo Starr's (La De Da) "Vertical Man" CD. I've written songs for many TV shows, including "Melrose Place", "Dawson's Creek", "Ed", "7th Heaven" and "American Dreams". The most recent film I have written songs for is "Cradle 2 The Grave". For several seasons I sang and composed the theme songs for "The Power Rangers". Behind the scenes, I have worked in various capacities on literally thousands of film titles. I also have written and published online a multi-media novel called, "A Year of Living Stupidly". It has many references to Milwaukee that people might find interesting. It can be read at
Personally, I live in the Hollywood Hills with my second wife Nancy, who is originally from Philadelphia, PA. She designs a line of handbags called "Minx", which are
available at a store on Brady St. in Milwaukee called "Miss Groove". We have 1 teenage cat and no children. We travel not nearly enough, but spend as much time as possible in New York and Hawaii! Though I wish I had more communication with some of my classmates, I do stay in touch with Jamie Russell, Greg Rabe, Alex Brkich, Mike Watters and Judy Mattice. People can E-mail me at cush@otherw.com I return to Milwaukee every Christmas to visit friends and family.
