| Clifford Lord (Juneau class of 1939, Decorated Fighter Pilot) was the older brother of Edward G. Lord (Juneau class of 1941, Decorated Paratrooper in the U.S. Air corp) Cliff fulfilled his commitment to fly 100 missions in one of the most decorated fighter (82nd Fighter Group) units in WWII by 1943 but re-enlisted and was shot down on his 2nd Tour of Duty. | Mr. Berg was a decorated WWII war hero & his glass eye & limp were a result of his wounds from the war. |

| Mr. Hackney also received honors in WWII and was actually left for dead amongst other fallen soldiers when a fellow soldiers (actually fellow teacher & Football coach from Milwaukee Tech, Mr. Richardson saw him move which saved his life. |
